<div align="justify">Revenue inspector Doddaiah has lodged a police complaint against Srirangapatna MLA Ramesh Bandisiddegowda, saying the latter abused him and issued a murder threat.<div align="justify"><br />In the complaint lodged with Superintendent of Police G Radhika, Doddaiah said he was participating in a ‘Janaspandana’ programme at Naguvanahalli Gram Panchayat on Monday, when the MLA came there, abused him and threatened him in front of other officials.</div><div align="justify"><br />“I left the spot thereafter. Then, the MLA called me over my mobile phone and threatened to file a caste abuse case if I lodged a complaint with the police. His supporters waylaid me near Brahmapuracanal and threatened to kill me,” the complaint says.</div><div align="justify"><br />Superintendent of Police G Radhika told DH that Doddaiah sent a copy of the complaint to the governor, Assembly speaker, chief minister, Lokayukta and the human rights commission.</div><div align="justify"><br />“An FIR has been filed in Srirangapatna, based on the complaint. A probe will be conducted soon,” she said.<br /><br />However, Bandisiddegowda denied the incident. He said people were outraged against Doddaiah at the meeting as there were many charges over illegal land transfers against him.
