Second Additional District and Sessions Judge K L Ashok on Thursday advised the students against falling prey to drugs. He was addressing the gathering during the international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, at an awareness programme organised jointly by the district legal services authority, the district administration, the zilla panchayat, the Health Department and information and public relations at IDSG First Grade College auditorium in town. The judge said consumption of drugs and narcotics is equal to knocking on the doors of death.

‘Temporary relief’
“While one is under the influence of drugs, one may feel transcended to a different world, it will eventually lead to death. Additional SP K J Jagadish said addiction to drugs will eventually lead to depression.
