Option entry for CET 2nd extended round counselling begins

The option entry for candidates taking part in the second extended round of CET counselling began on Tuesday night. Students who want to take part in the second extended round have time till 5 pm on July 27 to enter, modify or rearrange their options.

The allotment will be announced on July 29 after 11 am. Students have to confirm their choices, pay the fee and report to their college with the allotment order by July 31.

Candidates who have opted for Choice 1 and have taken admission in the first or second round of CET counselling are not eligible to take part in this round. Seats in Engineering, Architecture, Farm Science, Horticulture, AYUSH and others, which were forfeited, surrendered or newly added will be available in this round.

Candidates who wish to surrender seats selected in the first or second round can cancel the seat before 5 pm on July 27. If they do so within this period, the fee paid will be refunded after deducting Rs 5,000. If students surrender their seats after 5 pm, the fee will be forfeited. In the second round, students do not have any choices and they have to report to the college allotted to them. If a candidate surrenders the seat allotted in this round, the entire fee will be forfeited.
