Another app for cabs launched

Commuters in Bengaluru will soon have another app to hail taxis as an association of drivers on Wednesday announced launching of their own app-based cab services called bTag in the coming days.

The taxis will operate in Bengaluru and Mysuru and offer services similar to Uber, Ola and new entrants like UTOO and Hi cabs. Another association of drivers, backed by JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy, are also planning to launch their own app which has been tentatively named ‘HDK Cabs’.

Similar to apps launched by other drivers’ association, bTag promises flat fares which will not be affected during peak hours. “There are no hidden charges and surcharges,” they announced.
