The North division police have arrested two persons for trying to sell marijuana in the city recently. The suspects are Abhishek (22), a resident of Vijayanagar, and Ravi Keerthi (22) a resident of Magadi Road. The police are yet to arrest one more suspect who managed to escape. The police recovered 1.5 kg of marijuana, a mobile phone, a Honda Activa bike and cash of Rs 1,600.
Based on a tip-off, the RMC Yard police apprehended them near Goraguntepalya when they were waiting for their clients. The suspects were booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and taken into custody for further investigations to ascertain the source of the drugs.
