Speaking to Metrolife, Prashant Raj says, “I wanted to try something totally different and stylish. Dance is something the Indian audiences love, it’s a form where one can express all the emotions be it love or pain.”

Working with the same team again, he says has only added to the comfort level he shares with all of them. But at the same time he also found it challenging, “It was challenging in a good way. We all know each other’s pulse and that made it easy but then again we had to break away from the Love Guru phase and do something different,” he explains.

In the film, Tharun plays the role of a dance instructor and Radhika Pandit plays a student. With dance as an element in the film, Prashant made sure that the cast gets a bit of training. “The movie required an international feel. So we brought in Mehul, a popular dance choreographer from Mumbai. He has choreographed for film like Kites, Jashn and Tum Mile,” says Prashant who has shot the film in 40 days in India and abroad.

It is said that a lot of scenes were shot at Premier Studio in Mysore. “This used to be a very popular studio but due to a fire accident it had been shut for a very long time. But it was renovated for this film. It was great to shoot there and we hear that now after us, many film-makers have lined up to shoot there,” he says.

Although many dance-based films in other languages have failed at the box office, Prashant is confident about this one. “Though the backdrop is dance, the movie doesn’t revolve around dance from start to finish. I can promise the audiences that they will surely get to see something different, with all the elements of entertainment,” he signs off. While the music will be released by the end of the month, the film will hit the screens in first week of June.
