It was unlike a party. The dullness loomed large with more than half of the team of RCB staying away from the party. The players of Deccan Chargers were seen in full strength, celebrating their victory right from their exit from Chinnaswamy Stadium until the wee hours of the morning.

Telugu actor Venkatesh was all smiles as he shook hands and interacted with his fans, Deepika Padukone was seen sulking at the far end of the hall.

The disappointment was writ large on her face and she looked like she was in no mood to party. Among the regular RCB players who turn up for all the parties, irrespective of whether the team wins or loses were Mark Boucher, Jacques Kallis, Cameron White, Virat Kohli, Robin Uthappa and Kevin Pietersen.

Prominent among the Deccan Chargers were Adam Gilchrist, Herschelle Gibbs and Simon... all making the best of the night. They were seen interacting with the fans and never lost a chance to get flirtatious with half-dressed women whenever possible.

It was the regular P3Ps who had a real blast. Those who were restricted from entering the party were seen arguing with the security and made last minute efforts to force their way into the party.

“There was tight security and it was hard to get in at first but I just wanted to catch a glimpse of the players. I waited and managed to interact and click pictures with a few players as well,” says Vaishalli, an IT consultant.

Sandeep, a student says, “It was crowded and people were trying to worm their way through. It was quite unlike a party. It was more like gate-crashing.”
