<p>The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) started its encroachment removal drive on Tuesday in rain-affected areas.<br /><br />According to complaints lodged by residents, the drive was conducted in Koramangala, JP Nagar, Shanthinagar, Mahadevapura and Bellandur where there were encroachments on rajakaluves, lakes and government lands.<br /><br />“The encroachment removal drive in rain-affected areas began on Tuesday based on complaints by residents. Apart from this, we have also identified a few places where there have been encroachments. We will take action against them,” said Lakshmi Ganesh, superintendent of police, BMTF.</p>
