<div align="justify">Members of Dalit associations and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha have demanded the suspension of Nanjangud Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Revanna, for publicly insulting a woman farmer, recently.<br /><br />DSS district convenor Chunchanahalli Mallesh alleged that the officer, who participated in an awareness jatha, had insulted a Dalit woman, by garlanding her for not having a toilet at her home. He has also made the students tell her: “If you really have respect, ask your husband to construct a toilet within three days”. He had the incident video recorded, which has gone viral on the social media.<br /><br />Mallesh condemned the behaviour of the official. “The officer, who should create awareness among the villagers, most of whom are illiterate, has set a bad example. The local police should have lodged a suomotu case against Revanna. He should be immediately suspended or the organisation members will stage a protest in front of the district in-charge minister,” he warned.</div>
