Moderate rain leads to waterlogging

The city witnessed moderate rainfall from Sunday night till wee hours of Monday. This led to waterlogging on MG Road, Majestic, Yeshwantpur, Jayanagar, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Madiwala, Central Silk Board junction, Thanisandra, Bannerghatta Road and other areas.

The BBMP control room received some complaints of waterlogging and tree fall, till Monday evening. Two cars were damaged when branches of a tree fell on them in Gandhinagar. A tree was uprooted on Kasturba Road and JP Park, said a BBMP Control room official. According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, the city will continue to receive moderate to heavy rains for next couple of days.

The city received 46 mm of rainfall while HAL airport recorded 23.5 mm and Kempegowda International Airport recorded 27.5 mm till 5.30 pm on Monday.
