Citizens, activists of various organisations, private schools, merchants, president and members of the municipality and the villagers will form a human-chain at the Mahatma Gandhi Circle at 11 am on that day thereby to attract attention of the government. A memorandum will be submitted to the Tahasildar, he informed. He also sought the cooperation of everyone barring party lines.

Kadur MLA K M Krishnamurthy said that he would support the demand for formation of a separate taluk and would participate in the protest.
