JOIN USMyu is presenting ‘Unplugged Nights’ by Girish Pradhan at Myu Bar at Gilly Redefined on October 13 at 9 pm. Girish Pradhan is the founder and vocalist of the hard rock band, ‘Girish And The Chronicles’.
Born and raised in Gangtok, Sikkim, Girish has grown up in a musical environment as his mother Bimla Rai is a popular Nepali folk singer. He started his musical journey at an early age.
While he was in his first year of engineering at SMIT, he decided to quit college and become a full-time musician.
He spent the early days in his career in Nepal, performing in various popular venues of Kathmandu and other parts of Nepal.
After few years in Nepal, he returned home and started performing in local pubs in Sikkim and nearby areas like Darjeeling and Siliguri.
Girish was awarded ‘Best rock vocalist award’ by Yamaha at Yamaha Asian Beat Competition in 2011.
He has received appraisal for his vocal from the Mike Tramp (‘White Lion’) and Sebastian Bach. He along with his band has toured Europe, Hong Kong, Dubai, Vietnam, Thailand and most of the parts of India for live performance. Entry is free.
