BJP workers staged a protest against Urban Development Minister R Roshan Baig for his "offensive remarks" against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They held a demonstration at Visvesvaraya Circle in Mandya on Saturday.

The protesters raised slogans against Baig and Congress party. They alleged that being a people's representative, Baig should not have passed "loose" remarks against the PM. The agitators questioned the contribution of the Congress party to the state. The protesters also demanded suitable action against the minister. They burnt a portrait of Baig.

BJP leaders H R Aravind, S Mahantappa, Neralu Krishna, and S Shivakumar Aradya were present.

In Mysuru, BJP youth wing members gathered near Gandhi Square and demanded the immediate resignation of the minister. They alleged that Congress party leaders, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, are indulging in "revenge politics" and are using offensive words against BJP leaders.
