<p>The District Administration and the Tourism department, in an effort to utilise the Hasanamba jatramahotsava to popularise the tourism destinations of the district, have organised ‘Hassan Darshana’, a special programme for the benefit of thousands of devotees visiting the city.<br /><br />The people arriving in the city can visit six tourist spots of the district at a discounted rate of Rs 200 per person.<br /><br />The KSRTC bus that will depart from the Tourism department’s office near AVK College at 7.30 am, will visit Kondajji, Koravangala, Rudrapatana and Ramanathapura. It would return to Hassan at 2 pm. After lunch, it will depart at 3 pm and take the tourists to Doddagaddavalli, Halebeedu and Belur and return to Hassan at 9 pm.<br /><br />Due to shortage of time, only six tourist spots in the district have been selected. The bus has 52 seats and a guide will be deputed to provide information on the places. Another person will accompany him for security purpose.<br /><br />The programme is being implemented on an experimental basis, during Hasanamba festival. If there is good response, it may be extended up to Bahubali Mahamastakabhisheka. There are plans to include a few more tourist destinations and make it into a two or three-day package. The KSRTC has to be paid Rs 10,500 per day. The number of buses will be increased if there are a large number of tourists, said U Jitendranath, Deputy Director, Tourism department.<br /><br />The passengers are given a water bottle and handbook on the tourism destinations of the district. A three-minute audio message on the must-see tourist destinations will be played, he added.</p>
