Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council K S Eshwarappa on Tuesday said the BJP is well-organised in the state and exuded confidence that the party would wrest back the power in the next Assembly elections.

He was addressing media here after visiting the Hasanamba temple. Reacting to the statement of KPCC president G Parameshwara that 20 BJP MLAs will join the Congress soon, Eshwarappa said, first let Siddaramaiah and Parameshwara come together and resolve the internal bickerings. “The Congress groupism cannot be sorted out even by AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi. Later, they can dream about retaining power,” he ridiculed.

Eshwarappa alleged that Siddaramaiah is neglecting Dalits and backward communities, and said, “He is trying to divide the people and disturbing peace by dividing the Veerashaivas and Lingayats.”

Answering to a query, Eshwarappa said, it is common for the party workers to quit and defect to other parties during elections. “However, I promise on Hasanamba that I will not join the JD(S). BJP is my life,” he said.
