iPhone X, the premium phone manufactured by Apple, can be booked in India from Friday. Deliveries begin in a week, from November 3.

The phone is available in silver and space grey in 64GB and 256GB models.

This is the first time Apple is making India part of its 'first wave', grouping the country with top markets for a simultaneous launch.

Bookings also open on Friday in the US, the UK, China, France, Australia, Germany, Japan, Russia and Hong Kong.

Prince Jacob, assets manager based in Bengaluru, has been using the iPhone 6, and is keen to pick up the new release. "iPhone X is the first iPhone to adopt the bezel-less design, which allows for a larger 5.8-inch display," he told DH.

Amit Mishra, technology analyst, is curious about the Indian response to iPhone X. "India is known to drive the success of mass market products. We have to see how the iPhone X fares," he said.

iPhone X runs the A11 Bionic processor, up to 75% faster than its predecessor.

The phone is sold by Apple distributors Brightstar, Maples, Redington and Ingram Micro through retail stores and e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon.

Wallet factor

iPhone X is priced at Rs 89,000 for the 64GB variant, and Rs 1.02 lakh for the 256GB variant.
