Siddaramaiah to skip Modi event

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will skip the only public event that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend on Sunday, a clear indication of the increasing tension between the two.

Modi is slated to inaugurate the new Bidar-Kalaburgi railway line  in Bidar.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Siddaramaiah said he could not participate as he was invited  at the last minute, blaming the Railways for not keeping the state government in the loop.
