I-T raids Brigade group

The Income Tax officials conducted search and seizures on premises of real estate firm Brigade Group. The simultaneous raids were started on Thursday morning and would continue for another day, sources said.

According to I-T sources, searches were being conducted at 25 premises and surveys at nine projects of the group. The searches are being conducted in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai.The I-T sources said that the investigation was taken up some time ago for suspected evasion of tax.

A spokesperson for the group confirmed the searches and said that the group is co-operating with the I-T department.
