JOIN USAccording to sources, the gang arrived in a car at Sriramulu’s residence on Sunday. They inquired about the minister with the private security guards. One of the guards, Marappa, explained that the minister was not at home.
“We will finish him off,” the members threatened. The guard also disclosed that the gang members initially claimed they were from Manvi in Raichur district. But before leaving, the members threatened again saying, “We are from Kadapa. We will finish off your boss.” Marappa disclosed this to mediapersons here on Thursday, after registering a complaint with the Cowl Bazaar police.
Superintendent of Police M N Nagaraj said a case has been registered under the Arms Act. Vital clues have been obtained and the culprits will be arrested in another two days, he added. Security has been scaled up for ministers G Karunakara Reddy and G Janardhan Reddy.
