Census 2011 begins in two dists

Tyagarajan’s wife Sangeetha gave all the details to enumerator Lakshmikanthamma. Assistant Commissioner R S Peddappaiah, enumerators Narasimharaju and Gopal Malgatti were present on the occasion.

The house listing began in the various wards of the City from the house of a prominent person of the respective wards. The enumerators sought the details from the house of City Municipal Council President K N Madhusudhan’s house in ward no 21.

Assistant Commissioner R S Peddappaiah has informed that house listing task was an easy work. It can be finished as early as possible. The house listing will be completed before a programme to be held on June 1, he added.

Shidlaghatta
First phase of the census 2011 began in 27 wards of Shidlaghatta in Chikkaballapur district on Thursday. The census operations were launched here by enumerating Town Municipal Council President Jayamma Munikrishnappa.

The 27 wards of Shidlaghatta town have been divided into 56 blocks and 56 enumerators and nine supervisors will carry out the house listing. Teachers and Town Municipal Council staff are deployed for the work in the first phase to be held for 45 days, from April 15 to May 31.

Compilation for the National Population Registrar will also be carried out simultaneously. Hence, along with house listing and house census, a prescribed NPR forms should also be filled. TMC Chief Executive Officer Channegowda said the personal data of each individual will be kept confidential and the public should not give wrong information to the enumerators.

Bangarpet
“Census provides vital details which would help the government in formulating plans and policy best suited for country’s future growth. Every body should provide all the details to enumaretors, urged Bangarpet MLA M Narayanaswamy.

He was speaking during the Census-2011 which began in the taluk by collecting the details from his house. Though the details were being recorded by B Rajalakshmi,  teacher in Model Higher Primary School, tahasildar Dakshayani lent a helping hand and started recording the details. The tahasildar’s act did won her public support who praised her co-ordination with other surveyors and staff.

Vital informations are collected through census which includes details on every individual’s economic, social, educational status and excess to basic amenities and other facilities.Details on 35 parameters is collected in different columns in one form while details on 14 parameters is collected in another.

Government Employees Association taluk-unit president Chandrashekar Gowda, Social Welfare Officer (taluk) Choudappa, Shiristedar and others were present on the occasion.

First citizen
The details were later collected from Bangarpet’s first citizen Shamshuddin Babu’s house. Town Municipal Council Chief Executive Officer Ashok Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
