<p align="justify" class="title">A recent global smart city survey has placed New Delhi in the 90th position, while Copenhagen in Denmark is in the top position, followed by Singapore and Swedish city Stockholm.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">According to the 2017 Smart Cities Index produced by European parking app EasyPark, out of 10 scores, Delhi received only 3.93, while Copenhagen received 8. 24.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Apart from Delhi, Mumbai, which is in the 93rd position with 3.80 points, is the only other Indian city that found a place in the total 100 cities selected for the survey worldwide.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The ranking was based on cities adopting latest urban amenities like smart parking, clean energy, urban planning business ecosystem, internet speed.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Other factors like 4G, smartphone penetration, traffic sensors and car sharing apps, online access to governmental services and a high level of citizen participation in the governance were also taken into account.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">The opinion of over 20,000 technology and urban planners was also taken into account, while finalising the scores, said a statement form Easypark.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Copenhagen is ranked at the top for scoring and has scored high marks in areas like a thriving business ecosystem, high proliferation of smart parking and forward-thinking urban development, said the statement.</p>
