The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday seized five Pakistani boats and three persons from Harami Nala region in the Gulf of Kutch, off Gujarat coast.
The patrol teams of the 79th battalion of BSF arrested three Pakistani nationals - Niyaz Hussain Gohar Ali, Raji Ali Habibullah and Laung Ali Babu Ali - from Jatti area of Sindh province. At least two dozen others aboard the five boats managed to flee towards Pakistani territory.
The boats seized were fitted with Chinese engines and are said to have entered Indian waters for fishing. Nothing objectionable was found from the boats except fishing equipment and their catch.
Since August this year, over 28 Pakistani boats and nine Pakistani nationals have been caught from the area.
