Doc treats woman in emergency labour

A doctor at a private hospital in Karwar helped a pregnant woman deliver her baby, despite the protest by private doctors.

Veena, wife of Prakash Ankolekar, was brought to the Pikale hospital here after she experienced labour pain. Dr Anuradha Pikale, who examined her, found that the woman was in an emergency condition as there was less amniotic fluid in her uterus. 

Soon, Veena's family members approached gynaecologist Dr Sanjeev Pikale, who had skipped duty due to the doctors'strike, and appealed to him to help the woman deliver. He agreed and facilitated the delivery of a baby boy.
