Cong lodges plaint against MP Puttaraju

District youth Congress members on Saturday, lodged a complaint against MP C S Puttaraju in connection with the threatening of Senior Geologist Nagabhushan regarding stone quarrying.

The members met Superintendent of Police G Radhika and urged her to take legal action against the MP.

In a complaint, the members have stated that the MP has threatened the geologist, when the officer was attending a meeting with Deputy Commissioner N Manjushree on November 13. The MP, along with mines owners, entered the meeting hall, used abusive words and also issued a threat to the officer, the complaint states.

The members alleged that Puttaraju is into illegal mining and was trying to protect it. The video of the MP threatening the officer had gone viral. Based on the video, the police should take suitable action, they demanded.
