<p>PWD Minister H C Mahadevappa on Tuesday said the government will take an appropriate decision on implementing a joint House committee report on irregularities in the Bengaluru-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project after obtaining the law department's opinion.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Replying to Ramesh Babu of the JD(S) in the legislative council, he said many litigations regarding the project are pending in the Karnataka High Court and the Supreme Court.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Department of Law is yet to give its opinion on the recommendations of the committee report.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The committee, which submitted its report in November last year, had recommended to the government to take over the project, besides ordering a CBI probe into the charges of irregularities.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Senior JD(S) MLC Basavaraj Horatti described the project as day-light dacoity. The committee was headed by Law Minister T B Jayachandra, and hence, there is no need for obtaining the department's opinion on the report, he argued.</p>
