'BSP to field candidates in all assembly constituencies'

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) State unit general secretary Shobha Ballari stated that the party would field its candidates in all constituencies during the next Assembly elections in the State.

She told media persons here on Friday that the party would not have alliance with any other party, and major preparations for elections including selection of candidates would begin after BSP National President Mayavati's visit to Bengaluru on Sunday (November 26).

Ms Mayavati would address the BSP's South India convention to be held at Central College Ground on Sunday at 10:00 am. Wrong policies of the NDA government and issues in the State would also be highlighted. The party workers would be given instructions to start preparations for the elections, she added.

BSP district unit convener Premanath Chikkatumbal noted that around 500 people from the district would attend the convention to be held in Bengaluru.
