Modi, accompanied by his wife and players of Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers, attended a discourse by the Buddhist monk at “Ch-u-ngl-akhang” (Tibetan temple at Mcleodganj, about 15 km from Dharamsala).

“His teachings are very meaningful and one derives peace of mind listening to him,” Modi said, showering praise on the 74-year-old Tibetan temporal head. Andrew Symonds, Yuvraj Singh, Chaminda Vaas, Rohit Sharma, Piyush Chawla and a host of IPL officials attended the discourse which was nearly one-and-a-half hours long.

Kings XI Punjab pacer S Sreesanth said he was impressed by the Dalai Lama’s emphasis on achieving peace of mind. “I will try to translate this (Dalai lama’s stress on achieving peace of mind) in my personal life,” Sreesanth added.
