Hundreds take part in 'Cyclothon-2017'

To create awareness about zero-emission and eco-friendly lifestyle, hundreds of people including students and members of various organisations pedaled on the main thoroughfares in the City on Saturday morning.

At the Railway Sports Ground, Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Maj (retd) Siddhalingayya Hiremath flagged off the 'Cylcothon-2017' bicycle rally organised by Hubballi Accent Round Table 153 and Easybuy.

The rally returned to the railway sports ground after moving via Sarvodaya Circle, Lamington Road, Chennamma Circle, Hosur Circle, Basava Vana, Court Circle, and Desai Cross. After the lucky draw, new bicycles were given to Darshan of Fatima School and Kiran of Railway School.

Members of Rotary Club, Lions Club, Indian Medical Association and others also took part in the event. T-shirts and breakfast were arrenged for the participants.

Round Table India area chairman Sachin Shah, Nitin Shenoy, Shrinivas Metrani, and others were present.
