No truth in charges against Vinay: D K Shivakumar

Defending District In-charge Minister Vinay Kulkarni in the background of allegations against him with regard to ZP member Yogishdgouda Goudar murder case, Energy Minister D K Shivakumar stated that the allegations have no truth at all and BJP leaders are leveling such politically-motivated and baseless charges because Assembly elections are nearing.

"After the BJP leaders raised this issue in the session of the State Legislature, we took it seriously. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah looked into the matter in detail, and found no truth in the allegation. Mr Kulkarni has no involvement in this murder case. We are convinced that neither K J George nor Vinay Kulkarni have their role in death cases in question," he said.

BJP leaders are finding no errors in this government. Therefore, they are leveling such politically-motivated allegations, following a hit and run' policy, Mr Shivakumar added.
