Reiterating that District In-charge Minister Vinay Kulkarni had no role in Zilla Panchayat member Yogishgouda Goudar murder case, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah clarified that the case would not be handed over to the CBI.

"Six persons are already arrested in this case, and the inquiry is going on. It cannot be handed over to the CBI just because Mr Goudar's family members and BJP leaders are demanding it," he said.

During his stopover at Hubballi airport on his way to Bagalkot on Friday, he told media persons that there were no documents to show the involvement of Mr Kulkarni in this case, but BJP leaders are staging protest with ill intention, and are leveling baseless charges.

State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa did not speak about Mahadayi dispute in last three years. As elections are nearing, he is now assuring to resolve it within 15 days. We would be happy if he does that, Mr Siddaramaiah noted.

When asked Mr Yeddyurappa's criticism against him, Mr Siddaramaiah said, "we need not learn from those who went to jail on corruption charges when he was the chief minister. Is he a great scholar? he does not have any ideology".
