Workshop on Kuvempu's works on Dec 29-30

 The Rashtra Kavi Kuvempu Prathishtana has announced that a workshop involving study of nationally renowned poet late Kuppalli Venkatappa Puttappa's works will be held to mark the 114th birth anniversary of the poet on December 29 and 30.  

The birthday of the poet who is better known by his pen name 'Kuvempu', is also observed as 'Vishwa Manva' day. The announcement was made by the Prathishtana's secretary Kadidal Prakash. The venue for the workshop is Kupalli in Shivamogga district and the poet's origins are from there.  

The Prathishtana has tied up with Bengaluru's Aviratha Trust to organise the workshop. Only 80 participants are allowed to register. Food and boarding are provide to the participants for the days of the workshop and Kuvempu's "Malenadinalli Madhumagalu" book will be provided free of cost.
