Some of them duplicated more than five copies of a single licence.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Transport Commissioner B Dayananda said: "We are going to introduce the e-permit system to prevent licence duplication. Once this comes into force, we can link Aadhaar to auto-rickshaw licences."</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Dayananda said the rule would apply to existing licence holders as well as new applicants. "We will give time to link Aadhaar. All auto-rickshaw drivers must link Aadhaar or else their licence will be cancelled. Initially, only Bengaluru will have e-permits.
