Teacher held for raping student

A teacher has been arrested for raping a minor girl in Banda, the police said on Saturday, reports PTI.

The teacher, Arvind, lured the class IX student after promising her financial assistance and raped her three days ago, said Anita Singh Chauhan, in-charge of Mataudh police station.

"The teacher was arrested on Friday," Chauhan said and added that the girl has been sent for medical examination.
