Cong list of candidates for polls by Feb: Siddaramaiah

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Sunday that the Congress would prepare the list of candidates for the Assembly elections, by February.

This is because of the large number of aspirants for the party tickets in each of the 224 constituencies.

Speaking to reporters here, the chief minister said the government had no role in the 'supari' case involving journalist Ravi Belagere. He said the police officials had taken action in the case based on the evidence collected by them.

Reacting to state JD(S) president H D Kumaraswamy's statement that he (Siddaramaiah) was visiting only constituencies represented by Congress MLAs, Siddaramaiah said he would visit all 224 constituencies. He termed the 'Parivartana Yatra' of the BJP as an utter flop.

At a programme here later, Siddaramaiah said the 'acche din' (good days) promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was only for the Ambanis, Andanis and for BJP president Amit Shah's son.
