ZP member denies conspiracy charge

 
ZP member A V Poojappa, in a press statement has denied charges levelled by the former vice-president against former president Chikkanarasimhaiah.

Former Vice-President of the Zilla Panchayat in Chikkaballapur Chendur Venkatesh had alleged that the no confidence motion moved against him recently was a conspiracy hatched by Chikkanarasimhaiah.

Poojappa, denying the allegations, said Chendur had violated the orders of the senior Congress leaders by not handing over the baton after 10 months since his election to the post. This had led to the decision on no confidence motion against him, Poojappa added.
