<p align="justify">Demanding burial land in Palemadu, the members of Bhoomi Mathu Vasathi Hakku Vanchithara Horata Samithi staged a protest in front of the DC's office in Madikeri on Friday.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Minister Kagodu Thimmappa who met the protesters said that the Chief Minister has directed officials to identify land for a burial ground in each gram panchayat.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">"I will verify the documents and direct the district administration to withdraw the sanctioning of land for a cricket stadium at Palemadu", he said.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Title deeds would be distributed for those who have constructed houses on paisari land under section 94cc of land revenue act.</p>.<p align="justify" class="bodytext">Horata Samithi President D S Nirvanappa said that a two-acre land was sanctioned for a burial ground in 2009, at Hodduru-Palemadu. However, the district administration has decided to hand over the land for a cricket stadium. "We will intensify our fight if we fail to get justice," he said.</p>
