Yathish, a 16-year-old with autism, was among 200 children from over 20 schools in the city who participated in 'Quizabled 2017 – Knowledge for All' on Saturday.

The event  was organised for students with disabilities from regular and special schools. It was aimed at  developing a sense of team spirit among such children, and instill in them a sense of confidence.

Organised by Seva In Action, which  works towards minimising the gap between needs and opportunities for people with disabilities, it witnessed participation of students from Bengaluru urban and rural districts.

The quiz was divided into four  groups for  children with intellectual disability, visual impairment, hearing impairment and cerebral palsy.

"We got  a brilliant response to the event from schools and students alike. It was inspiring to see the spirit of these children, who proved that anything is possible. The enthusiasm in each of the participants was infectious," said Varada Hegde, a member of the organising team.

The event was inaugurated by cricketer Javagal Srinath and Kannada film actor Mohan.
