Inter-state water sharing system being worked out: MP CM

Last Updated 24 December 2017, 16:02 IST

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that attempts are being made to ensure genuine rights for each State to get their share in river water.

On his way to Haveri, he told media persons at Hubballi Airport on Sunday that 'Sab Ka Sath Sab Ka Vikas' is the concept of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and accordingly, a system for inter-State water sharing is also being worked out.

"Congress Party in Karnataka is convinced about certainty of its defeat in the forthcoming Assembly elections, and therefore, Congress leaders are trying to get some excuse in advance, by opposing the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) in elections, though they cannot be manipulated," Mr Chouhan said.

When asked about the court judgement in RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's case, he said, faith in the judiciary has been strengthened.
