<p class="title">A 23-year-old woman and her paramour were arrested on Wednesday by Anekal police for killing the woman's two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The suspects Niveditha (23) and Satish (25) are residents of Havada Devanahalli near Anekal town.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Niveditha was married to her relative Chandrashekar, an iron fabricator, six years ago. The couple had a daughter Annapurna.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Unhappy with the marriage, she started an affair with Satish, also a relative.</p>.<p class="bodytext">After being into the relationship for the past one-and-a-half year, they decided to shift to some other place to lead a peaceful life.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police said that on December 24, Niveditha and Satish planned to leave their village. Niveditha told her in-laws that she was taking her daughter to a hospital in Anekal as she was down with a fever.</p>.<p class="bodytext">She left the house with Annapurna and joined Satish. The duo then strangulated the child with Niveditha's dupatta and threw her in a bush at TVS Junction, near their village.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As Niveditha did not return home from the hospital, Chandrashekar made unsuccessful attempts to search them. He filed a missing complaint with the police.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Based on mobile phone call details, the police picked them up from the house of a Satish's acquaintence. During the interrogation, the duo confessed to the crime and led to police t0 the bush where they had thrown the body.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police recovered decomposed body of Annapurna and sent it to Anekal Government Hospital for an autopsy.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Niveditha and Satish have been booked for the murder.</p>
