Reel lady appears for 'real' test

Scores of students thronged the Kadasiddheshwara Arts College in the City to get a glimpse, and if lucky, an autograph, from this special student who was appearing for the BA first year external examinations. The special student was none other than noted Kannada cine actor Anu Prabhakar, now Anu Krishnakumar.

As soon as she stepped out of the examination hall after writing her Sociology examination on Friday, youngsters in large numbers approached her for an autograph and the actor smilingly obliged. But what caught even Anu Prabhakar off the guard was the presence of Deccan Herald, as her visit was a closely guarded secret. The actor said that she had chosen Hubli as her centre since the atmosphere in Bangalore was not conducive to prepare for the exam. The exam is being conducted by the Karnatak University External Examinations Department. As students from other colleges and residents from the surrounding areas waited for a ‘darshan’ of the star, Anu Prabhakar offered her ‘Namaskaras’ and made a quick exit from the exam venue.
