JOIN USNoted anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare will address a public gathering at Nehru Stadium here on Thursday (January 4) at 3:00 pm.
Bhrishtachara Virodhi Janandolana Trust members stated that Mr Hazare would be taken in a procession, including a bike rally, before the public meeting, and he would also garland Kittur Chennamma and Sangolli Rayanna statues.
Mr Hazare would also be urged to take up Mahadayi issue in the agitation he would launch in Delhi on March 23, demanding farmers' welfare, strong anti-corruption measures, and electoral reforms, they said, adding that he would also speak about Mahadayi issue at Nehru Stadium.
Sri Nijagunananda Swamiji of Bailuru, Sri Basavajayamruthyunjaya Swamiji of Koodalasangam, Dr Lokesh Tekal, and others will also participate.
Later, Mr Hazare will deliver a talk on 'Youth empowerment to curb corruption in public life', at Chetan Business School at Shrinagar at Unkal at 6:00 pm. MLC Basavaraj Horatti and Corporator Rajanna Koravi will be the guests, while Dr V M Koravi will preside.
