Youth should get opportunities

 
“The Panchayat Raj System in our country can be further strengthened if young men and women are given a chance to contest GP elections. Further Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of establishing Gram Swaraj can also be fulfiled,” he added. “Nearly 50 per cent of the posts have been sought for the youth in the memorandum,” Akram added.

“Youth have come forward to contest in many gram panchayats. The party can be strengthened at grassroot-level by supporting their candidature,” said Akram who added that this aspect had been brought to the notice of party high command.

To the question why young Congress CMC members weren’t taking any steps to solve problems faced by the City?

Akram said that it was left to one’s discretion and calibre as some people utilised the opportunity to serve people better while others continued show their lackadaisical attitude.
