All murders given communal colour, regrets Home minister

Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy regretted on Sunday that all murders in the state were being a communal colour.

He said political parties and leaders were responsible for the violence in Dakshina Kannada district.

Reddy said, whenever a Hindu is murdered, BJP leaders claim that the person belongs to Bajrang Dal, keeping elections in mind. He said organisations like the Bajrang Dal, Sriram Sene and PFI were destroying communal harmony in the state. The minister said the family of Basheer, who died in a attack by miscreants just like Deepak Rao, would be given a compansation of Rs 10 lakh.
