JOIN USCorporator Mohan Hiremani of the Congress landed in trouble, after he reportedly posted a derogatory animated image of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on a women's Congress WhatsApp group on Tuesday night.
Hiremani had posted an image of Siddaramaiah's face transforming into that of a chimpanzee. Members of the group criticised him for this act of insulting a senior leader of the party, and one of the admins removed him from the group, which included ministers Vinay Kulkarni, D K Shivakumar and MLA Prasad Abbayya.
The leader later clarified that he was not aware of the posting of the image, saying that somebody might have posted it from him mobile phone.
Congress Party women's wing city district unit president Sunita Hurakadli noted that the issue had been brought to the notice of KPCC women's wing president Laxmi Hebballkar, as it was not correct to insult party leaders.
