Muthiah demands inquiry commission into charges against IPL

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India had become Business Control for Cricket in India and the main reason for all this "is Inefficient management," he told reporters.
He recalled that as BCCI President he had ordered a CBI inquiry into the match-fixing charges and banned three players for their alleged involvement in betting.

Muthiah suspected that allegations of IPL match fixing and auction rigging running to crores of rupees could be true and demanded a full fledged commission to inquire into the allegations.

He said the members of the board should only think of promoting the sport. "They should not be profit or money oriented. That is what the BCCI rules say."He suggested that BCCI be managed by an independent authority.
