<p class="bodytext">The fear of wild jumbo attacks have forced the taluk administration to hold the pulse polio programme between 11 am and 3 pm in villages situated on the fringes of the forest.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Tahsildar K N Sharadamba directed the Taluk Health Officer in this regard at a meeting held here on Tuesday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Pulse Polio drive is being held on January 28 and March 11 across the country. Addressing a meeting, she pointed out that K Hosakote hobli is an elephant prone area.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"As many wild jumbo attacks have been reported here, people move around under fear. Hence, it is better to wind up the vaccination programme before 3 pm to prevent any untoward incident. Forest department personnel should provide protection on these days," she said.</p>
