Govt sanctions four Yathri Nivasa

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader said that the state government has sanctioned four Yathri Nivasa to Ullal region.

The Yathri Nivasa will come up near Sayyed Madani Dargah in Ullal, St Sebastian Church in Permanur and near Somanatheshwara Temple in Someshwar and near Manjanady Dargah.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, he said that the Yathri Nivas will be built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 70 lakh each. There will be six rooms and dormitory in the Yathri Nivas. "The devotees who visit these places of worship, many a time find it difficult to get a lodging nearby. Hence, the Yathri Nivas will be beneficial."

To a query on the Ilyas murder, Khader said: "the murder should not be politicised. The police are carrying out the investigation. The genuine murderers should be booked."

On Ilyas's wife making an allegation against the minister, he said "I do not wish to react to the allegations. We are with the Ilyas family in their grief."
