Madikeri taluk panchayat has resolved to send a proposal to the state government to revoke the Mathru Poorna scheme following the dismal progress of the scheme.

CDPO Damayanthi said "The scheme has seen only 15% progress in the district. Kodagu district features in the last-three bracket when it comes to the progress of the scheme. Pregnant and lactating women are not keen on visiting anganwadi centres to consume the meals."

To which, TP president Thekkade Shobha, vice president Boliyadira Santhu Subramani and a few members suggested the officials to write to the government to suspend the scheme.

Member Uma Prabhu said "Children in anganwadi centres in Napoklu are being ill-treated. Action should be initiated against the anganwadi worker and the assistant."

Gayathri of Education department said "The land for several government schools in the taluk are donated by philanthropist in the past. However, a few of the family members are posing a hurdle for carrying out a survey of the land to get the RTC in the name of the school."

The president promised to write to the Tahsildar.
