The BJP has decided to release charge sheets against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and a few of his cabinet colleagues for indulging in illegal activities.

The party has also decided to print the charge sheets and circulate them among all households across the State.

Addressing a media conference here on Tuesday, the State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa claimed that he had procured evidences against Siddaramaiah and his colleagues.

"Anti-Corruption Bureau and Criminal Investigation Department are investigating cases against Siddaramaiah and his loyalist ministers. They are trying to emerge clean out of these cases," Yeddyurappa charged.

Siddaramaiah and his lieutenant, PWD Minister HCMahadevappa were attempting to contest from different constituencies. Siddaramaiah won from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency seven times, while Mahadevappa from T Narsipur five times. The change of constituencies indicates pathetic condition of the Congress,he added.

On Siddaramaiah's repeated statements that Yeddyurappa was jailed, the former chief minister remarked: "Siddaramaiah should remember that AICC president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi are out on bail in a case, but they may be jailed anytime."

"I was a scapegoat of a conspiracy, while there were efforts against granting me the bail. Charges against me were not so grievous. The High Court took the State government for task in this regard. Has Siddaramaiah forgotten this?" he asked.

Yeddyurappa termed the Mahadayi river dispute as a sin of the Congress party that has left farmers and people of North Karnataka suffering.

"What have Siddaramaiah, AICC president Rahul Gandhi and former AICCpresident Sonia Gandhi done to resolve the dispute and bring water to N-K region for drinking purpose? The Goan Congress president opposed the decision of the Goa chief minister of considering release of water for drinking purpose to Karnataka. The Congress party there even maintained that it would not permit the release of even one drop of water to Karnataka," Yeddyurappa charged.

"We've been urging the Congress party in Karnataka to convince their party leaders in Goa and Maharashtra for the release of water to Karnataka on humanitarian grounds," he said.

Yeddyurappa charged that the Congress government turned farmers against him for taking up the initiative. The farmers, who staged a protest in front of the BJP office, were Congress-sponsored. The real agitators were demonstrating in North Karnataka, he said.

Regarding announcements of projects worth hundreds of crores to each Assembly constituency by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during Sadhana Samaveshas, Yeddyurappa said: "It is just an eyewash. Will any responsible chief minister announce projects without budgetary allocations? This time, Siddaramaiah can only present an interim budget for three months."
