Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Uma Bharti has said that she along with other disciples will organise a grand programme to commemorate the completion of the fifth Paryaya of Pejawar Mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swami.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the bedridden Vishwesh Theertha Swami on Wednesday, the Union minister said that the seer is recovering after he met with an accident near Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh while he was returning from Mantralaya. "Since he was injured in the back, the seer is in a lot of pain. There is a minor fracture and the seer would be fine after rest for a couple of weeks. He is, however, in a better condition and will be back to his normal routine shortly," she said. "The date for the celebration would be decided once the seer is well. He will decide the date," she added. Acclaiming the seer's achievement of completing his fifth Paryaya, the minister said that she is immensely happy about her Guru's record spanning more than 800 years of the Paryaya. "This is a unique moment and devotees are indeed blessed to be witnessing such a stupendous occasion. Once the seer recovers, the dates of celebration will be marked," explained the minister.

Uma Bharti said she will lay the foundation stone for a school at Pajaka on the occasion. She also met the new Paryaya seer. The minister, however, declined to comment on the political issues including the reluctance of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to visit the Sri Krishna temple.
